Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of GRID for the Nintendo DS developed by Firebrand Games and published by Codemasters.
Want a break from racing evil turtles on your Nintendo DS? Check out GRID, a driving simulator that brings a more realistic race to the DS. GRID features a host of multiplayer options via wireless local play, and the game originally supported the Nintendo WiFi Connection for online play. For single players, the game’s expansive campaign mode is a huge endeavor. Players get to travel the world, racing under lots of different stipulations in lots of different countries. GRID also includes a surprisingly deep track editor, so players can design their own courses using items unlocked in the campaign. The Nintendo DS wasn’t exactly known for great 3D capabilities, but GRID features a great 3D engine and runs fast and smooth. GRID is a single and multiplayer racing game available on several platforms.
This video review features video gameplay footage of GRID for the Nintendo DS and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s Derek.

You actually have to use the brakes in the corners. It's a racing sim It's not Mario kart. however I didn't know there was a grid for DS and I think my little brother would actually like this game. Thanks for being the only review for the DS version lol
I need to find this
Grid is for Xbox and PlayStation not Nintendo
We need more game like this on 3DS
why did i have to lose this cartridge 5 hours away??????:(
opinions on Grid
Mark: "as arcade as it gets"
Derek: "as realistic as it gets"
get it together CGR
I would say that the DS was more that powerful enough to run these kind of games! I'm not sure how powerful it was but the game looks on a parr with last gen games like those on the PS1 and noone ever said the PS1 wasn't powerful enough to run Gran Turismo! so its not high def but its more than enough for good 3d games.
I own Race Driver Create and Race and Dirt2 for DS. Both pretty much the same don't know if I want GRID.
I live in Palm Coast! I might know Daniel 😀
If your going to keep cursing in your videos, do us a favour and don't censor it
why doesn't he drift during turns? that's why you keep running into things noob…
Ok, stop calling it a realistic racing game. It is an arcade racer, a fun arcade racer but it is not realistic. I still play it on the PC because it is fun and I am surprised to see it on the DS – that is kind of cool.
I have grid on the 360. But I had no clue there was a D's version 😴
For a portable racing game, Gran Turismo on the psp is my favourite! GT games overall are pretty good, even for a not-fan-of-the-genre.

MY EYES!!! THEY BLEED!!!!
If you didn't get into the original GRID because its sim-like, try grid 2. its a helluva lot more arcady then the 1st and 3rd one.
What are the differences between GRID and Race Driver: Create and Race? I haven't played Race Driver in years and GRID looks almost identical, judging by the video. I know they were made by the same dev, but except for the title, what are the differences?
Firebrand made quite a few good ds racing games on the ds. I loved track mania and race driver: create and race on the ds.
How do you turn? Well since this isn't an arcade style racing game you HAVE TO USE THE BRAKES. you just went full steam ahead into almost every corner in the video lol
derek is such a nintentoddler
I have no clue how people can like games like this, Forza and GT.
The turning is slow and its too realistic.
